A Birth Mother's Story

I bawled through this whole video. Most people I run into don't understand adoption.  Adoption is truly a beautiful thing.  You need to be open minded about it.  No,  it's not for everyone, but for those who it is for, it's truly amazing and beautiful.  The things you get to witness and experience are indescribable. You see the Lord's hand, selflessness, love, gratitude, sacrifice, happiness, healing. Those things are all beautiful. Some of you may be thinking it's easy for you to say because I am the adopted parent who was able to take a baby home.  But it wasn't. Yes I was happier then ever to become a mother and to bring both of my sons home, but I did suffer loss.  Not the loss of a baby, but the loss of having one myself.  You see on both sides loss is felt. Very different kinds of losses.  It's not easy on either end. But if people come to realize that it's all for the child and what the Lord has in stored for his/this child then maybe they will see it as a beautiful thing.

Grandma & Grandpa Are Going On A Mission!

Make a video - it's fun, easy and free!

We are so excited for my parents to serve a mission.  It will be weird having them gone, but we know we will all be blessed.  I remember my grandparents leaving for their mission and how I knew, even at a young age that this is what they were supposed to do. I have that same feeling for my parents that Mexico City needs them, it's where they need to be.  They are great examples to us and our boys.  You will be missed very much, but Mexico City will be blessed to have you!  Congrats Dad & Mom!  We Love you!

I Am Training For A Half Marathon!

I am excited to tell all of you I am training for the Cedar City Half Marathon in September.  I have done a few 5k's and have always wanted to do a half.  So here I am 2 months into training and it's going really good.  I can tell my body is changing and getting stronger.  If any of you runners have good advice please share.  I don't know what to expect.  I am excited for this!  Hopefully things will continue to go good so I won't get any injuries so I can run in September.  I would love to check this off my bucket list:)

The Newest Member Of Our Family

Randy called Monday night on his way home from work, saying that he had a BIG surprise for all of us. It never crossed my mind that he would bring a dog home.  We have had dogs and Danes before, so I wasn't to shocked.  I told him we could try it for a few days. I wanted to see how the dog would interact with the boys.  Well......to say the least he is great with the boys. He is a very well mannered dog and he is house broken!  Total plus for me.  Before I knew it,  I was out buying food, pillow, and treats for him.  The thought of him going to the pound killed me, because he is such a good dog.  I kinda like him, Randy likes him, the boys like him....I think we will keep him.  So let me introduce you to the newest member of our family... Brutus.   Welcome to our family Brutus!

A Day At The Dinosaur Museum

The Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point is awesome!  The boys loved it!  Brody kept running from thing to thing saying "look mommy, look!".  Brock couldn't wait to get his hands dirty and dig for bones.  This is right up Brock's ally. He has always loved finding things on the ground.  He loves to collect rocks, sticks, and anything that looks cool to him.  This is his thing.  We have tried sports with Brock and he is just not interested.  He would rather be in the dirt digging for things he can find.  Brody on the other hand is total sports.  He wants to play catch every 2 seconds. It is fun to have 2 totally different boys.  We invited a co-worker of mine to join us, and dang-it......forgot to get a picture of all of us.  Thanks Stacey for coming, we had a blast!
