Is Anyone Out There?!?

It's been 10 years since I posted on our blog! I can not believe it! If you want to catch up on our last 10 years go to our Facebook or Instagram accounts. I will update you a little now where we are at in our lives.

Brock- Brock is one of a kind and is doing well as he navigates through his teenage years. He is 16!!! We can't handle him growing into a man.  He is a Sophomore at Lehi High and is working hard in school. He passed all of the requirements to get his license, so now he just needs to wait for his Birthday to come around so we can throw him the keys to our Jeep. Yes, he gets our Jeep R2BROS! On occasion he will give his dad and I a heart attack by some of the choices he makes, but we are getting through this crazy teenage season with him by our unconditional love for him. He is currently working at the Grease Monkey and is learning so much about cars that he will be able to carry throughout his life. He still loves playing his electric guitar. It amazes us that he picked it up one day and never has put it down, and that everything he knows he has taught himself. Pretty amazing. For those of you who don’t know Brock fell 42’ off of a building a year and a half ago. That was the scariest day of mine and Randy’s life. It is truly a miracle he is still here with us. He is completely healed today of all of his injuries. It has been a long road for him and us and we are so grateful it’s behind us now. He still has screws and rods in his hip that will stay there the remainder of his life unless it bothers him, then we would have those removed. The accident has left a permanent scar mentally for him that he is still working through today with his amazing therapist. We are so grateful for Brock in our lives and his great sense of humor, his free spirit, his smartness and how he loves to try new things. We are so grateful he is still here with us, he is such a joy to have in our family.

Brody- Brody is a happy easing going kid who loves to be involved with whatever. He makes friends easy and has a great group surrounding him. He is currently 13 years old!!!  We can’t believe we have two teenagers! He loves everything football. He is in the 7th grade and his team won the championship this last year! Wahoo! It was so fun watching his team come from the 5th seed and work hard to claim there spot as champions. Hard work pays off. Brody has progressed so much in the game of football the last two years, it’s been a joy to watch him. His goal as of today is to play football for LSU and be drafted to the NFL. We will try hard as his parents to help him get there. If he believes he can do it, so do we. Brody has a summer job mowing our neighbors lawn which he enjoys. He is always smiling and is a really good helper. He loves hanging out with his cousins and friends and loves playing Fortnite with them. He is currently the President of the Deacons Quorum which he takes very seriously. He is a born leader and strives to make good choices. He is happy and healthy and we love having him in our family.

Randy- Randy works for the State of Utah in the DFCM department as the Statewide Programs Manager. Don’t ask me what is stands for, because I don’t know. Haha. He has been there 8 years now and is working his way to the top of the chain. He really enjoys it and is grateful for this career path that came his way. He sometimes gets to ride in the Governor's private jet, which is pretty cool. I am proud of Randy and what he has achieved in his life. He is a wonderful and hard working husband and an even more wonderful father. Randy and I have known each other for almost 30 years. It’s fun growing old with him. Randy still loves everything Jeep, and Crossfit. That’s where you would find him in the early mornings or on his days off.

Rachel- Ok my turn. My biggest joy in life is being a mom. It’s definitely challenging at times, but so fun and rewarding. I have learned that every stage is hard, the hard just looks a little different. I embrace the moments I have with our boys. I love this stage with them right now. They are hilarious and make me laugh everyday. When I’m not with my boys you will find me in my salon doing hair. I love the relationships I have with my clients. I have done most of my clients hair for over 20 years. I so appreciate all of them. I’m hoping to retire in 6 years when I reach my 30 year mark. Randy and I by that time will be hopefully on a new adventure moving down south in the St. George area. I love traveling to new places, jeeping, organizing, and being with family. My life has been good so far. Some hard parts, but over all good. I am happy and healthy and I’m enjoying the journey, that’s all I can ask for. I’ve been very blessed.

Well, that's us in a nut shell right now. Hopefully it won't be another 10 years before I post again. See You Soon!
