Brock's Surprize

Yesterday we had a package on the door for Brock. It was from his Great Grandma Smith. (Brock's birth-fathers grandma). She sent him a Birthday gift. He was totally intrigued by it.

Great Grandma sent him a Winnie-the-Pooh bear and some dinosaur PJ's. He loved it!!

Thank you Great Grandma Smith!!

Terrific Tuesday with Great Grandpa Green

Today we decided to invite Grandpa Green to lunch. We went over to McDonald's so the kids could play. It was a great time to spend with him. I think he loved getting out of the house.

Brock with his cousin's. Bryson, Franky, and Javier.

This was Brock's favorite slide. It was a joy to see him so excited to go down the slide. He enjoyed every minute. He was so happy :)

This is the group that came. My mom pointing to Javier, Grandpa, Erin & Bryson, Heather (our cousin, is a nanny to Franky & Javier), and Brock & I.

Rub-a-Dub-Dub, a Duck in the Tub

Off the Bottle

Brock is off the BOTTLE!!! We decided on the "cold turkey" method. We tried the method with his Binky and it worked, so we thought lets try it again. And guess what? IT WORKED!! He hasn't had a bottle in a week. It's been hard for him not having the continuous flow of the bottle, but he is getting used to it. It was weird, in my mind he wasn't ready, but he was.
Brock turning one totally WEIRDED ME out. I need to get over it and realize he is not going to be a baby forever. Now comes the teaching and the discipline part. I am not going to lie, I am a little nervous. I hope and pray I do things right. So, if I ask any of YOU as a parent millions of questions, you will understand why I am asking them. I know it will be OK. I just really want to be the best mom to Brock.

Brock's 12 Month Appointment

Brock is doing great!! Dr. Mumford said he has never seen such a healthy child. Brock has not been sick at all...no cold, flu, earache, nothing. (Ok, he has had a few runny noses). We are so lucky. We better knock on wood. Here are his stats. He weighs 23.5 lbs-62%, Height 31 in.-85%, Head Cir. 18.5-69%.
Brock turning one threw us for a loop. For one thing trying to get him off the bottle has been tough, him walking and getting into EVERYTHING, drinking cows milk and eating table food, just worrying his not getting his nutrients. We do not know what we are doing!, but I know we will figure this out.
It is sad to say he is not a baby anymore. He is growing out of the baby stage and turning into a little boy. We look at him everyday and say "could he get any cuter?" He is so much fun! We love to sit and watch his silly personality. We are so proud of him and his development. We are very lucky:) We love you Brock!
