Money, Money, Money....MONEY!

Randy bought this jar at a antique shop about 8 years ago and we have been saving all of our coins sense then. We didn't know at first what we were going to do with the money, but as we started thinking we thought of Brock and how his savings account would love to have this money in it......so we are giving all the money to Brock. Brock was over joyed with excitement when we started to dump all the money on the floor. He couldn't wait to start touching all the coins. We called the bank and they said we needed to separate all the coins so they could put it in their counting machine.....So we did just that...

...It took us a couple of days to separate the coins, but we finally finished...

...Along the way of separation Randy came across some unique coins he had forgotten about. He was really excited to look at all of them...I didn't know he liked coins so much.? :)...

...We finally got them all separated in their very own zip lock bag. We hope they don't bust through the bottom. We went the extra mile to weigh them. The dimes and nickels weigh about 8-9 lbs, quarters weigh 21 lbs, and the pennies weigh a whopping 28 lbs. We then got online to see if we could determine from the weight of the coins how much money we have. It seems we are going to have around 6-$700.00. We are totally stoked for this. It will be awesome to add to Brock's savings account for his future. We will be taking the coins to the bank on Monday to find out how much lute we have...

We Finally Updated

Sorry it's been awhile for those of you who follow our blog. It has been a fun and crazy month, so here is a look back at what we have been up too...

CHRISTMAS

Christmas was very low key this year. We hung out with both the families and just enjoyed the time together. This year instead of drawing names for each other we thought it would be fun to do Sub for Santa. We did this on both sides of the family and it was amazing to help those less fortunite then us. I hope we do that every year.

To start the Holiday off we wanted to take Brock to the ZOO LIGHTS. I loved it and so did Brock, but Randy didn't like it so much. If you haven't gone before you will have to go and see for yourself.
Christmas morning was a blast! Brock was so excited to see what was in his stocking, he knew right what to do.

This was Brock's gift from Santa. It's a race car track....Loved it! Score.



Of course daddy had to give him some tools of his own.....Loved it! We scored again.

This is how Brock looked all Christmas. New PJ's, cape (with the letter B on the back), and flashlight. I think those were his favorite gifts.

THE BIG 30

That's right I turned 30 on January 9th. I can not believe I am this old! Thank you to all my friends on Face book for all the Birthday wishes. It turned out to be a great day:) I am excited to see what the next 10 years brings.

MOMMY HEATHER CAME TO VISIT

Mommy Heather and some of her family came to visit Brock for his 2nd Birthday! We had fun seeing and getting to know Heather more. She was able to meet both sides of our families. Our families were very excited to meet and Thank her for placing Brock with us. He is one LOVED little boy.

Our New Niece

My brother Josh and his wife Cali received a wonderful Blessing/Gift for Christmas this year. Oakland Mae Hinckley was born on December 1, 2009 at 10:50 am. She weighed 7 lbs 15 oz. 18 in. long. She is a beautiful baby. Click here to see for your self. As some of you may know this is their 2nd child. Their first child baby MAC was stillborn about 1 1/2 years ago. I was lucky enough to be at the hospital for both births. They were both so special in their own ways, 2 amazing blessings that I will never forget. I believe Mac guided Oakland safely to Josh and Cali. I am so grateful to Josh, Cali, Mac and Oakland for the many things they have taught me. You guys are the best! Congratulations you guys!

Meet Jake the Snake

This is Jake the Snake. The first words out of Brock's mouth was "I scared". But as you can see he wasn't scared enough not to hold him. He was funny to watch. He would go touch Jake and then back away quickly and repeat "I scared". It was pretty cute. Brock has NO FEAR.

Family "Night's" Fun

Last Monday we headed to the Flash game to see if Micheal Jordan was going to take on Bryon Russell. Ya, no show for MJ. We weren't surprised. It was fun though. Brock also had a blast until his head got stuck between the seats. He was stuck for a good 30 sec. until we finally freed him. He had a good indent in his forehead. All and all it was fun!

Car rides are fun for the Fam. We sing songs, dance, laugh, count to 10, and sometimes argue. There's never a dull moment.

Brock loves to try on daddy's boots. He doesn't get very far when he tries to walk.

Lights Off = Glow Stick Fun

This was a fun game. Brock was so amazed by the neon lights. He figured out all by him self to spin the glow stick in a circle. He was so proud.

A Time of Being Thankful

This time of year I always try to reflect on what I am Thankful for. I have so much to be Thankful for.....

#1 on my list is my husband. He is such a wonderful husband and Father. He has come to really understand who I am and is patience with me of my many mistakes. Thank you for all you do. I Love You my Rand!

#2 on my list is Brock's Birth-Mother and Birth-Father for the sacrifice they made. There is truly not a day that goes by that I don't think of them. They are one of my many Hero's in life. Thank You for the gift you gave me.....Motherhood.

#3 on my list is BROCK. A lot of people ask me if "I think of Brock as my own child?" The answer is "YES". He was meant to come into our family. I felt that way the moment I held him in my arms in Arizona. He is so special that Heavenly Father provided away for him to come into our family. Adoption is amazing and anyone that has adopted will understand what I am talking about. It's all about love. Heather (Brocks' Birth-Mother) loves Brock. She wanted the best for him. Brock is a great Blessing in our lives. I want to share with you some of the funny phrases he says. Of course it's cuter when you hear his sweet voice say it.

Those are a few. Brock we are so Thankful and Blessed to have you in our family. We Love You!

#4 on the list is Family. It's wonderful to have family who are close and get along. They all have helped us out and I am so Grateful for that. Thank you.

I am also Thankful to my Grand Parents. A couple of weeks ago on November 7, 2009, my Grandpa Arnold Cornell Green passed away. He was the last of my Grand Parents. He was 90 years old and had an incredible life of service. He was a former Sealer in the Temple and it was a great honor to have him Seal Randy and I on June 10, 2000, and also when we adopted Brock he was able to seal us together as a family for Time and all Eternity. I will never forget those precious memories I have of him.

My Grandpa and Brock on July 26, 2008, the day of Brocks' Sealing. Brock was 6 months old.

My Grandma and Grandpa were married in the Laie Temple in Hawaii. I know it was a great reunion for them on the day of my Grandpas' passing. My Grandma and Grandpa were great examples to me through out my life. I miss them both. I look forward to the day to see them again.

It's Halloween Time

Halloween is one of my FAVORITE Holiday's. I loved it as a child. I have some great memories and traditions that I hope can be passed to Brock. This year Brock is a TIGER..

Randy and I are an outlet and plug. I thought sense Randy is in the construction business this would suit us great....HA HA!! We have 3 Halloween Parties this year! I will post a video of them soon.
