Brock Starts Pre-School

We are proud to announce that Brock started pre-school. I found this book called the night before pre-school, so of coarse I read it to him the night before. I don't think he really understood what the book or what I was trying to prepare him up for. In the morning I woke him up and said "today is the day you go to school. Are you excited?" He said under his breath...yeah. We got up, ate breakfast, got dressed and headed off to school. I enrolled him at Candy Cane Lane. It is so close to our house, it's awesome and I heard she is the best! When we pulled up and Brock saw all the other kids, his face lit up. I hugged him, told him to have fun and that I love him, then I walked him to the door. I know it's only 2 hours twice a week, but I felt a little empty when I was walking away. This day marked a new chapter in his life and it's sad to see the previous years come and go. On the bright side, I get to spend one-on-one time with Brody, which has been so fun. When it was time to pick him up. Brody and I got into the car and headed over. When I turned down the street and saw all the kids waiting for their moms, I started to cry. I can't believe it's here already. Brock is growing up way to fast. When he saw our car he got the biggest smile. I will never forget him running up to me with that smile and hugging me so tight. I looked down and I asked him, so how was it? He said, mommy it was so fun, can I go again tomorrow? That made me one proud mama!

We Remember...

Today we had the opportunity to meet at the Lehi Fire Department in REMEMBRANCE of the thousands of lives lost 10 years ago, on 9/11. Even though Randy and I didn't have close friends and family members die that day our hearts go out to the victims and their families. We will never forget where we were when we heard the news. Our lives are forever changed. We are grateful for all those who fought and are still fighting for our country today. Our boys weren't with us 10 years ago, it is weird to think that they will learn about this tragedy in text books at school. Hopefully they will love our country as we do. We are so proud of this country we live in. God Bless America!

Happy 9 Months Brody

Brody is 9 months old today. He is finally teething! He is getting his 2 bottom teeth at the same time. He is not a happy camper, but he is still the cutest thing. He loves to eat! This kid could eat all day if I let him. We don't know where he is putting all the food (maybe in his thighs? haha) . He is crawling everywhere and stands by himself until he realizes no one is holding him, then he will plop on his bottom. Last but not least he said his first word.....Dada. Randy is so thrilled! Brody's personality is really coming through this last month. He is a go getter. What ever he wants and is focused on, he will not give up until he has it. He is starting to really jabber, he wants to be heard. He hates when I leave the room...He may be a mama's boy:) Which I don't mind. He is so much fun to have in our family. We are so blessed. We love our little Brody!

MOAB Part 2

We love Moab! We had another great week, with the Mellor side in Moab Utah. We went hiking to Delicate Arch, swimming in a water hole w/water fall, climbed an Indian ladder (pic. not shown), Jeeping, white water rafting, relaxed, Jeeping, and more Jeeping, went shopping, and had a blast! We rented an awesome condo, where 33 family members stayed. Brock was very fascinated with all the reptiles and insects in Moab. He loved to chase the lizards and try to catch them. He conquered and sadly tore the head off one. (We hope that is normal for a 3 year old boy?) Brody did awesome! He is happy no matter where he is. He just goes with the flow. We hope this can be a yearly tradition for us and the boys. They loved it and we loved it. Good times, great memories:)

8 months ago Brody was born and was placed in our arms. We can't believe he is this big already. He is crawling everywhere and just a few days ago he started to pull himself up to things. He will be walking in no time. He loves to be where Brock is. Now that he can venture into other rooms of the house, he can find him quite quickly. Brody, you bring such a peace and joy into our family. We can't imagine life without you. We thank Chanel and Devin every day for the precious gift they shared with us. We love you Brody!

It has been like forever sense we saw cute Mommy Chanel. She came to visit the other day and we were so excited! We love watching her interact with Brody. We can see the love she has for him and her wanting the best for him. He will always know how much she loves him. It's also fun to see how happy she is and to learn about her plans for the future. She is one amazing women. Thanks for the visit Chanel! We have two of the best Birth Mothers in the world! We Love You!

Beach/Pool Party? You be the judge.

Has it been hot or what? To stay cool we bought a pool! We thought it would be fun to have a beach/pool party. We already had sand (from our sandbox), so all we needed was a pool, music, and our Jeep. Let the party begin!

Brock & Brody

Summer so far has been fun but crazy-busy! We finally had a weekend to ourselves and it felt great! Not that we don't love our family and friends:)
Four years ago (before Brock) we got this bike at a ward auction for $25.00. Knowing we would have children one day we held on to it. Brock is a real pro on his tricycle. He pedals so fast we can't even see his legs. We thought it was time to move him up in the world and get the "BIG BOY" bike down. We went to Walmart and got him a helmet, training wheels, and a horn.

At first there were more than a few accidents. He couldn't figure out how to keep the pedals moving. Which we were confused at because he conquered the tricycle. He gave up and didn't want to ride any more. We told him we know you can do it, if you keep trying. He had no interest to do so. A few hours later we went out side again and I asked him if he wanted to ride his "BIG BOY" bike. He said no. We said ok, you don't have to do it until you are ready. I took it down to the sidewalk and left it there. A few moments later we could see him touching and playing with his bike, then he looked up at us and said, I need my helmet! I said are you ready to try again? Yes mom....

With determination in his eyes he tried again. He took off and never stopped pedaling. Randy and I cheered for him, even as he turned the bike around and came back all by him self.

He road his bike for hours that day, back and forth, from one drive-way to another. Everyday he gets better. We are so proud of Brock for getting enough courage to try again. He did it all by himself and we knew he could do it. Good Job buddy! We love you!

I just barely started feeding Brody baby food and snack puffs. He absolutely loves them! With Brock I could not wait to start baby food. With Brody I have held back a little. It just means he is growing up. Brody is in 9-12 month clothing. The other day I was putting away all the clothes that are to small. It makes me sad to think that he just might be our last baby. I wish he could stay a baby forever.

We like to check our boys when they are sleeping. Look how peaceful and sweet.

Brody is so sweet. We love you so much little man!
