The Newest Member Of Our Family

Randy called Monday night on his way home from work, saying that he had a BIG surprise for all of us. It never crossed my mind that he would bring a dog home.  We have had dogs and Danes before, so I wasn't to shocked.  I told him we could try it for a few days. I wanted to see how the dog would interact with the boys.  Well......to say the least he is great with the boys. He is a very well mannered dog and he is house broken!  Total plus for me.  Before I knew it,  I was out buying food, pillow, and treats for him.  The thought of him going to the pound killed me, because he is such a good dog.  I kinda like him, Randy likes him, the boys like him....I think we will keep him.  So let me introduce you to the newest member of our family... Brutus.   Welcome to our family Brutus!

A Day At The Dinosaur Museum

The Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving point is awesome!  The boys loved it!  Brody kept running from thing to thing saying "look mommy, look!".  Brock couldn't wait to get his hands dirty and dig for bones.  This is right up Brock's ally. He has always loved finding things on the ground.  He loves to collect rocks, sticks, and anything that looks cool to him.  This is his thing.  We have tried sports with Brock and he is just not interested.  He would rather be in the dirt digging for things he can find.  Brody on the other hand is total sports.  He wants to play catch every 2 seconds. It is fun to have 2 totally different boys.  We invited a co-worker of mine to join us, and dang-it......forgot to get a picture of all of us.  Thanks Stacey for coming, we had a blast!

It's All The Little Things That Count

I am so sorry I haven't updated lately.   We haven't been up to anything really exciting except for all the small & simple things (which I cherish) until a week ago.  I guess it just slipped my mind.  So here are a few events that have taken place recently.

ITTY BITTY BALL

Brock is in a sports camp.  Everyday the kids learn a different sport.  Brock is a very high energy kid.  This is a good outlet for him.
Brock has been learning how to be a team player and not being a poor sport.  Brock always wants to win and when he doesn't, you better watch out.
Brock's #1 fans!  Go Brock!

Learning how to catch a football. The first time the coach threw the ball to Brock he just stood there and let the ball hit him in the chest.  It was so funny.  I know he knows how to catch.  Silly boy.
 IT'S GETTING WARM!
We are so excited the weather is getting warmer.  It's been a looonnnggg winter being cooped up in the house. Bring on spring!
Isn't this the cutest picture?
I DO IT!

Brody has become very independent.  He wants to do everything and I mean everything all by himself.   It is so fun for me to watch him at the park. In the picture he wanted to climb this ladder all by himself and when he got to the top he looked at me clapping his hands saying "I did it! I did it!".   He was so proud and so was I.   He is also getting a sense of humor.  He loves teasing everyone. He is going to be our little comedian.  I am one proud mama.

With Brody being so independent he gets hurt a lot more.  Poor little guy. I love to be the one to comfort my boys in times of need.
 SLEEP OVERS
It is getting harder to keep Brock entertained during the day.  He is so ready of Kindergarten. So when Brock wants a sleepover with cousin Bryson I do not hesitate to say YES!.

I have always had a special bond with my nephew Bryson.  It is so much fun to have him around.  Bryson, Thanks for coming over to hang with Brock. He always likes to play with you!
 IT'S OFFICIAL!
Brody is officially potty trained! Wahoo!  Day and night even. He still has occasional accidents, but nothing to worry about.  We are so proud of him and his progress.  Way to go Brody!
I am one lucky mom to have Brock and Brody as my children. They are amazing boys that teach me so much on a daily basis. What a blessing it is to me to be home with them and do the simple things with them. I am treasuring all the little moments I have with them, because I know one day they will become grown men and want to leave our nest. Until that day I am here for them.  It's all the little things that count.

Brock 2012

Shutterfly photo books are the new way to preserve your memories. Create your own today.

This is Brock in all his pride and glory in 2012.  You don't want to miss it!

Brock also had his 5 year well check-up,  here are his stats:
Weight: 44.5 lbs  75%
Height: 45 in.  87%
BMI: 15.46  51%
Dr. Mumford says he is pure muscle.  He will be a lean, mean, fighting machine.  Oh...wait he already is:)

I Spy Blue Sky

This winter has been brutal.  I have probably gained 20 lbs. So when I saw blue sky, we had to get some fresh air.

Brock's new funny face.

This is what Brody does best.

These kids aren't to bad to photograph either:)

Brock Turned a Whole Hand-----5 Years Old!

Isn't he just the cutest thing?  This little dude had a Birthday and turned 5 big ones.  He insisted on having a Star Wars themed party, so that's what he got.

These light sabers were the party favors.  They had a blast  fighting with them.

Brock's awesome cake!  (they spelled his name right this year)

Let the fun begin!

His great Grandma Marge sent Dr. Seuss.  He absolutely loves it!  Thank you!

One spoiled kid.

Brock got so many fun things.  When there were no more presents he said " that's all I get!"  This kid speaks his mind.  Thank you everyone!  He loves every single present.

Enjoyed eating pizza and that yummy cake.  After the cake we headed to the pool for a refreshing swim.  Randy took his go-pro to film, so hopefully you will see a video soon.

Happy Birthday Brock!  We sure love having you in our family.  You keep us on our toes.  We love you so much and are excited you are 5!
